If you’re going on a trip, need your flu shot, or require other vaccines, your Wellness pharmacist can save you a visit to your doctor or public health nurse.

Flu shots

An annual flu shot is the best way to prevent you and your family from catching or experiencing serious complications of the flu. It is especially important for people who are at high risk of experiencing serious complications of the flu, including young children, pregnant women, seniors, and people with certain

medical conditions; and people who regularly interact with those at high risk. The flu shot is free for these people.

Routine immunizations

We can help keep you updated on your routine immunizations, including Td (tetanus and diphtheria), MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), and pneumococcal polysaccharide/conjugate (pneumonia). Many people are eligible to receive these for free.

Recommended immunizations

We can help you determine if you should receive additional recommended immunizations, depending on your age and medical history. To help protect your health, we may recommend and administer vaccines such as Shingrix/Zostavax (shingles) and Cervarix/Gardasil (HPV).

Travel vaccines

Depending on where your next travel adventure brings you, certain vaccines may be recommended to help protect you against common illnesses in your destination. This may include cholera, traveler’s diarrhea, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, malaria, meningitis, diarrhea, and typhoid fever. At Wellness Pharmacy, we have a Certified Travel Health Pharmacist who is able to address your travel vaccine needs.
